Custom fabrication

Plenty of what we make does not fall neatly into gates, bars or carports. We have a working steel shop on Plot 28, De Onderstepoort, and a large share of our work is one-off items made to a drawing, a photograph or a rough sketch on the back of an envelope.

Repairs and welding

We weld on site where the item cannot be moved, and in the workshop where it can. That covers cracked frames, sheared brackets, broken agricultural and workshop equipment, snapped trailer hitches and the general run of things that break on a smallholding.

Rust repair done properly

Rust is not a paint problem, it is a steel problem. Painting over scale buys a season and then the blister comes back bigger. Our approach is to cut out steel that has lost section, weld in new material, take the remainder back to clean metal, prime it and then paint. It costs more than a coat of enamel and it is the only version that lasts.

Restoration of existing steel products

Old wrought-iron gates, security doors, railings and garden furniture are usually worth saving. The steel in an older gate is often heavier than what you would get in a new one at the same price. We strip, repair, replace what has gone and refinish, so you keep the piece rather than replacing it with something lighter.

Domestic, commercial and industrial

We work for households, for businesses on the industrial side of Rosslyn and Wonderboom, and for smallholdings out towards Kameeldrift. Small jobs are genuinely welcome — a single bracket is not too small to phone about.

Fabrication and repair work goes out across Pretoria North — Bon Accord, Onderstepoort, Akasia, Rosslyn, Wonderboom, Montana, Sinoville and Kameeldrift — and through the eastern suburbs including Menlo Park, Lynnwood, Garsfontein, Moreleta Park, Equestria, Murrayfield and Meyerspark. Workshop drop-offs are welcome.
